* usable foot pocket space is more likely 1" less due to the sharply angled
toe area.
** Difficult to determine due to the way it is manufactured.
*** Measurements taken by *Floater* on Scubaboard as reported in this thread: Note the variation in dimensions.
I first got the idea to put this together because I had so much difficulty
finding a pair of fins and boots that fit, then saw Boogie711's
post on Scubaboard that got me thinking (post #29) - Thanks for the idea!
notes: The Jets are much stiffer than the Turtles.
The Turtle foot pocket is much softer and conforms to the foot better.
The XXL Jets foot pocket is much thicker rubber than the Turtle.
The XXL Jets and Turtles weigh approximately the
same, without an accurate scale I would guess that the Jets are an ounce or
two heavier.
Fin dimensions may vary due to manufacturing differences
in wall thicknesses and other variables. It is recommended that you try several
of the same size to determine which is most aptly suited for your foot and boot. |
